IMPORTANT – New rules regarding delivery and parking at Hjortnes, Oslo
From Monday the 6 th of March 2023, there will be some changes to our rules regarding delivery and parking at Color Line Cargo in Oslo.
This is because we have a lot of trailers circulating our area now. For the same reason, we also need to be stricter on our deadlines. Only in this way can we optimize our limited space in the harbor and on our ships.
New rules for delivery and parking in Oslo
When delivering trailers during opening hours, all drivers must present them self at the counter inside the cargo building. Here, they will be advised which zone to put the trailer they are delivering in to. To ensure this, the night park will be closed during our opening hours (from 0800 to 1600 hours). We are currently working on a new IT-solution for the night park, we will inform you on a later stage when this is up and running.
Color Line Cargo will not accept the deliverance of trailers set to be shipped more than 48 hours later - that is, the trailer delivered must be booked on a sailing within the next 2 days.
A reminder of our deadlines
Unaccompanied units must be presented and ready for shipment at least 120 minutes (two hours) prior to departure (4 hours prior to departure if dangerous goods). Accompanied units must check in 60 minutes prior to departure. This deadline also applies when changing a registration number to a new one.
Documents must be sent to Color Line before arrival/check-in, i.e. the same deadlines as for delivery apply here. Dangerous goods documentation must be sent to Color Line Cargo 24 hours prior to the departure time.
Picking up trailers
Due to the limited space in Oslo, we also want to remind you of the importance of fetching your trailers as quick as possible. Storage fees will apply according to our surcharges.
