Once again, transporting unusual shipments like tractors can be a challenge. But it isn’t only farmers who will need to transport their farming equipment as freight. 

There are also many sports involving vehicles associated primarily with farming. For example, the North West Tractor Pulling Club runs many BTPA-sanctioned Tractor Pulling motorsport events, including the European Tractor Pulling Committee Mitas Eurocup Series 2023 and final round of the British Tractor Pulling Association Championships at Great Eccleston.

Recently, we were able to support one of the teams taking part in the Great Eccleston event by helping to organise their ferry transport. 

The event, which was supported by the brilliant CO2-offsetting company Carbon Positive Motorsport, attracted thousands of spectators and many tractor pulling teams from around the world. 

After the pandemic and the additional customs requirements brought on by Brexit, many teams have experienced more hurdles in transporting their tractors efficiently. Our customer, who was facing the demanding task of transporting their tractors from the Netherlands to England (and back) ahead of the Great Eccleston event, was no exception.

Luckily, that’s where we came in. 

We supported the team by leveraging our excellent relationship with ferry operators in order to ensure that there would be enough space for them on the ferry and that they would arrive at the event on time - all while saving the team both time and money. 

Because of this, the brilliant tractor pulling team were able to focus on what matters most: the race!
