In the interests of the health & safety of all our customers and staff using the 12 Quays Birkenhead Terminal, the parking of vehicles in unauthorised areas at the entrance and in the roadway leading into the terminal cannot be permitted.
Despite the large signs which clearly state that no parking is allowed at the roadside, it has been increasingly common for freight vehicles to be abandoned on the road leading into the terminal for extended periods causing a major health and safety risk for all port users.
From Monday 10th June, vehicles parked unlawfully either at the entrance or on the roadway into the terminal will be issued with Fixed Penalty Notices.
Fixed Penalty Notices will be distributed and processed by a third-party supplier, therefore queries cannot be dealt with by staff at the 12 Quays Birkenhead Terminal.
The health and safety of all parties using the port is our primary focus and we would ask that you advise all freight drivers using the port to adhere to the “no parking signs” which are in place at the port entrance and on the roadway leading to the terminal to avoid receiving a Fixed Penalty Notice.
We would appreciate your co-operation and support in this matter to support a safe environment for all port users.
Thank you for your assistance and remember Safety Starts With You!
