Were you watching the UK’s Strongest Man 2024 competition earlier this month on TV?

You may have noticed a familiar looking logo at the start and finish lines.

We supported one of our customers with the transport of several trucks to the event in Cardiff, Wales.

Here’s how.

When their customer required a complete logistics service and trucks for the truck pulling race at the UK’s Strongest Man 2024 competition, the brilliant team at Walkers Transport turned to us for help with their freight ferry needs.

With the deadline quickly approaching, we supported the team by helping them to arrange their ferry bookings.

We quickly and efficiently organised for the trucks to sail on three trailers from Northern Ireland to Wales (via the Belfast - Cairnryan ferry route) and Northern Ireland to England (via the Belfast - Liverpool Birkenhead crossing).

From there, the trailers were delivered directly to the event at Cardiff in record time on the Tuesday before the event.

The Monday after the competition, all truck-bearing trailers were picked up and delivered back to Northern Ireland after being shipped via the Liverpool Birkenhead - Belfast ferry route.

With large, time-sensitive shipments, ensuring that the logistics operation’s ‘moving parts’ come together perfectly is a huge challenge. But together, the freight experts at Freightlink and Walkers Transport were able to get everything delivered on time.
