Since 22 August 2020 already, it is mandatory to cover mouth and nose in public transport in Denmark. This also applies to the Scandlines ferries operating the routes between Germany and Denmark.
Recently, German authorities passed a provision, that in all public areas, where keeping social distance might not be guaranteed, wearing a mouth-nose protection has to be mandatory.
We kindly ask you to instruct your drivers again to wear a face mask when travelling with Scandlines. They have to wear the mask already when entering the check-in offices as well as during the entire crossing (except when eating and drinking).
The Scandlines crew working in the customer areas is also wearing a face mask/shield. Employees who are not in direct contact with customers or who are working behind glass screens are exempted from this requirement.
